THE SPACE
Welcome to your stay in the “Deer Lodge”. A 4-bedroom home away from home featuring 1,800 square feet of nature inspired living space that combines rustic charm with sophistication & comfort.
Living Area
2,200 sq ft of Spacious and unique living space, featuring a vaulted A-frame ceiling, exposed log interior, wood floors and with wrap-around windows for a panoramic view of nature while bathing the space with natural sunlight. The finely detailed modern rustic furnishings create the perfect ambiance to bond over board games or enjoy a little solitude. Cozy up with a good book on one of the comfy deep lounge couches and enjoy the crackle and smell of your wood-burning fireplace.
Kitchen & Dining
Indulge your inner chef in our fully equipped kitchen, including top-of-the-line appliances. If grilling is more your speed, you will find your own private BBQ and picnic table next to your lodge.
When dinner is ready, gather around the rustic wood dining table or take your meal outside to dine surrounded by nature at your own personal picnic table or firepit.
Bed & Bath
Sleeps up to a maximum of 8 guests with 4 spacious bedrooms. All bedrooms feature queen-sized bunk beds with 100% organic bamboo bed linens, goose feather duvets and pillows provide our families with a high-quality sleep experience.. Unique to our property, bedrooms are tented beneath a solid wood structure that provides a sleeping in nature vibe but most importantly with style and comfort. And, don’t worry – we have you covered on chilly nights with our duvets and built-in wall heaters.
Your lodge is outfitted with two bathrooms and one powder room complete with Turkish towels and washcloths. Bathrooms are accessed via our covered and lit boardwalks. Once inside you will enjoy the warmth and comfort of our in-floor heated tiles or when you step out of our generously sized quality shower after being invigorated by our rainfall showerheads.

We encourage families staying with us to connect with the abundance of nature on their daily adventures. Our features and facilities include:
Kilometres of well-marked forest and field hiking/ mountain biking trails.
Spring-fed swimming pond with raft, beach area and sundeck outfitted with traditional Muskoka chairs, beach volleyball court, horseshoe pit, canoe, kayaks.
Large open recreational field for play. Large valleyview picnic area for family get togethers.
Wood burning sauna for 16 people situated by our large spring fed pond. Use dependant upon any public health orders.
A nearby animal sanctuary barn where you are invited to connect with a herd of friendly Nigerian dwarf goats, miniature donkeys, cattle and maybe a handful of rare breed piglets.
After dinner, gather with your family ‘round one of our many fire pits to watch the stars come out, take in the music of a crackling fire and maybe enjoy a warm gooey marshmallow.

GUEST ACCESS
Guests will be guided to their lodge upon arrival to unpack luggage and groceries. Once unpacked, cars stay in the designated onsite parking area about 500 metres away from the lodges so we all enjoy the peace and quiet of our natural surroundings..
Each lodge comes complete with a 4-seat electric golf cart to get around the property and to access your parked car. All carts have a fold-down back seat to move items such as groceries, firewood, garbage, etc. Carts are only driven by Persons 18 years or older. Zero tolerance for underage driving - for safety and insurance reasons.
OTHER DETAILS TO NOTE
A complimentary 50G Wi-Fi package is included with your stay.
All bedding (organic bamboo sheets and goose down duvets/ pillows), as well as bath towels/ washcloths (soft, plush Turkish cotton) are provided.
We have an onsite garbage disposal bin for use throughout your stay. This is easily accessed with the electric cart provided with your lodge.
Woodfield offers many opportunities to observe nature at its best including hearing and seeing animals in their natural environment.
Your hosts live nearby the property in case of emergencies. Your health and well-being are important to us. We take great care in adhering to all health and safety protocols. If you need anything during your retreat we are ready to help! We want you and your kids to enjoy the magic we call Woodfield.

Windermere, Port Carling, Bala - all within a 30-minute drive.
